At Snap Gear Shop, we understand that finding the perfect photography equipment is as important to you as capturing that perfect shot. Just as we meticulously inspect every camera, lens, and film product before shipping, we’ve designed our returns process to be straightforward and photographer-friendly.

Quick Summary: We accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of delivery for most items. Please read the full policy below for exceptions and detailed instructions.

Eligibility Period

You have 15 days from the date you receive your item to initiate a return or exchange request.

Condition Requirements

To be eligible for a return or exchange, items must meet the following criteria:

  • In original packaging with all included accessories
  • Unused and in the same condition as when received
  • Original tags and labels still attached (where applicable)
  • Including all original documentation and manuals
  • No signs of wear, damage, or alteration

Non-Returnable Items

Due to the nature of certain photography products, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Film (120 Film, Instant Film, Disposables) – For hygiene and product integrity reasons
  • AS-IS/Parts/Junk/Repairs items – Sold as-is with disclosed conditions
  • Opened or used Lab Products – Once opened, cannot be resold
  • Archived/Sold items – Limited availability items
  • Personalized Merch & Apparel – Customized items
  • Any product that shows signs of use, installation, or damage not present at shipping

Return & Exchange Process

Step 1: Request Authorization

Before sending anything back, you must receive a Return Authorization (RA) number. Unauthorized returns will not be processed.

Email your return or exchange request to [email protected] with the following information:

Subject: Return/Exchange Request – Order #[Your Order Number] Dear Snap Gear Shop Team, I would like to request a [return/exchange] for my recent order. Order Number: [Your Order Number] Order Date: [Date of Purchase] Product(s) to Return: [Product Name(s) and SKU if available] Reason for Return: [Please provide specific details] I confirm that the item(s) are in original condition with all packaging and accessories. Step 2: Package Your Items

Once you receive your RA number and return instructions:

  • Securely package the item in its original packaging
  • Include all accessories, manuals, and documentation
  • Place the RA number clearly on the outside of the package
  • Include a copy of your original order confirmation or packing slip

Step 3: Ship Your Return

Ship your package to the address provided in your return authorization email. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing insurance for valuable equipment. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is due to our error.

Step 4: Processing & Refund

Once we receive and inspect your return (typically within 3-5 business days of receipt):

  • We will process your refund to the original payment method
  • For exchanges, we will ship your replacement item
  • You will receive email confirmation once processed

Refund Timeline & Methods

Refunds are processed to your original payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB): 5-10 business days after processing
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days after processing

Please note that your bank or payment provider may require additional time to post the refund to your account.

Exchanges

For exchanges of eligible items:

  • Follow the same process as returns
  • Clearly state the item you wish to exchange for
  • If the exchange item has a different price, we will process a partial refund or charge the difference
  • We will ship the replacement item once we receive and process your return

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged item or incorrect product:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at [email protected]
  • Include photos of the damaged item or incorrect product
  • We will cover return shipping costs and expedite your replacement or refund
